FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's and women's basketball teams will be lacing up their sneakers on Wednesday and their opponent won't just be Siena Heights. The Warriors will also be taking on an enemy all of us know too well, cancer, as they participate in the annual Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers Week.
Tech will be collecting donations at Wednesday night's doubleheader inside the Schaefer Center and proceeds from games will go to the Coaches vs. Cancer program, a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches.
A new addition to Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers Week is Princess Lacey's Laces, in memory of eight-year-old Lacey Holsworth, who was an avid basketball fan, forming a close bond with former Michigan State basketball star Adreian Payne. For more information, click

Head coaches
Jessie Biggs and
John Peckinpaugh will be one of over 4,000 college and high school basketball coaches across the United States as they make much more than just a fashion statement on Jan. 27 inside the Schaefer Center. The coaches will sport tennis shoes with their suits to raise awareness and funds. The event unites coaches, fans, players, corporate partners, and media to fight cancer and provide hope to all people facing the disease.
You can also bring your "sneaker" to the game and display who you are supporting in the fight against cancer. Click the link above for your cutout sneaker or click

The women's game will tip off at 6 p.m. while the men will follow at 8 p.m.
