FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Indiana Tech had four Warriors earn conference player of the week honors this week.
Lauren Snyder and
Emiline Wood took two of the three WVB awards, winning Attacker and Defender of the Week, respectively.
Landon Buchanan was named WHAC Wrestler of the Week, while
Emma Jones earned Mid-South Women's Wrestler of the Week honors.
In the final week of the regular season, Snyder and Wood earned the honors after helping the Warriors to a 2-0 week. Snyder finished with 30 kills (5.00/set) on a .291 attacking percentage. She would also add six digs and one block. Wood earns the award after finishing the week with 40 digs (6.67/set). She also added five assists and was perfect in serve receive with 18 receptions.
Landon Buchanan earns his first WHAC Wrestler of the Week honor after finishing first in the 174lb weight class at the Trine Invitational with a 5-0 record. He would end the event with three wins by pin, one major decision, and one decision.
Emma Jones earns Mid-South Women's wrestler of the week after going 4-0 to win the 110lb weight class. She finished with two wins by pin and two tech falls. Jones would pick up wins over the #1 and #11 ranked wrestlers in the weight class and go the whole event without sacrificing a point.
