SALT (Student-Athlete Leadership Team)

Indiana Tech's Student-Athlete Leadership Team (SALT) is a committee made up of student-athlete representatives from each team within the Tech athletic department. SALT acts as the voice of the Indiana Tech student-athletes and serves as an advocacy organization, allowing athletes to share ideas, concerns, and perspectives to help shape and enhance the overall athletic experience at Indiana Tech. Additionally, the organization provides a way to effectively communicate with the athletic department, Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC), and the National Association for Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).

SALT assembles monthly to discuss their athletic experience at Indiana Tech, working to build a positive and inclusive culture, foster team unity, and support peers both on and off the field. Members look to model the five core values of the NAIA's Champions of Character program: Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Sportsmanship, and Servant Leadership. In addition to on-campus representation, Student-Athletes involved in SALT will also have the opportunity to represent Tech Athletics at outside events and encourage student-athlete involvement within the local community.
