KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Indiana Tech women's wrestling team enters the 2025-26 season ranked at No. 7 in the NAIA Coaches Top 20 Poll, the NAIA announced Thursday.
Last season, the Warriors would go 15-9 in dual meets and sit ranked No. 8 in the final NAIA ranking of the season. Tech would place fifth in the Mid-South Conference Tournament and finish 10
th in the NAIA National Championship.
Tech received 116 points in the ranking, sitting 13 points behind No. 6 Doane (Neb.) and 11 points ahead of No. 8 Ottawa (Kan.). Life (Ga.) holds the No. 1 spot after winning the national championship last season, receiving 193 points. Grand View (Iowa) (167 points) and Providence (Mont.) (161 points) come in at No. 2 and 3, respectively.
Individually, eight Warriors would receive top 20 rankings to start the year, including:
Makayla Young, ranked 4
th in the 103lb weight class
Emma Jones, ranked 12
th in the 117lb weight class
Rose Kaplan, ranked 3
rd in the 124lb weight class
Andrea Hernandez, ranked 12
th in the 131lb weight class
Hannah Seitzinger, ranked 11
th in the 138lb weight class
Bo Geibe, ranked 7
th in the 160lb weight class
Cydney Bassett, ranked 10
th in the 180lb weight class
Riley Dempewolf, ranked 1
st in the 207lb weight class
Tech will start their season on Saturday, November 1
st at the Tiffin Open in Tiffin, Ohio.
