FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Indiana Tech's Andrea Hernandez was named the Mid-South Conference Women's Wrestler of the Week, the conference announced Monday.


Hernandez wins the award after going 2-0 during the Warriors' trip to Kentucky over the weekend, where they faced two top 10 opponents. The Decatur, Indiana native opened the weekend with a 0:31 pin over the University of Cumberlands' Camarie Cunningham, helping the Warriors down the Patriots 27-18. Against Campbellsville on Saturday, Hernandez would pin No. 11 ranked Olivia Messerly in 0:51 to help Tech win 23-22.
 
Up next, the Warriors host the WHAC Invitational on Saturday, February 22, at the Doug Edgar Indoor Track Facility. The competition is set to start at 11:00 a.m.
