KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Indiana Tech women's wrestling team moved back one spot to No. 8 this week in the final edition of the 2024-25 NAIA Coaches Top 20 Poll, the NAIA announced Wednesday. Nine Warriors also receive individual top 20 rankings to close the year.
Tech received 102 points in the final ranking sitting in a tie with Missouri Valley, four points behind No. 7 Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) and ten points ahead of No. 10 Doane (Neb.). The top five spots were unchanged with Life (Ga.) at No. 1 with 224 points, followed by Grand View (Iowa) with 198 points, William Penn (Iowa) with 161 points, Providence (Mont.) with 152 points, and Cumberlands (Ky.) with 151 points.
Riley Dempewolf is the highest ranked Warrior to end the season, coming in at No. 4 in the 207lb class. In addition to Dempewolf, eight other Warriors would receive individual top 20 rankings this week, including:
Makayla Young, ranked 9th in the 103lb weight class
Tehani Soares, ranked 6th in the 110lb weight class
Allison Hancher, ranked 13th in the 110lb weight class
Rose Kaplan, ranked 5th in the 124lb weight class
Andrea Hernandez, ranked 7th in the 131lb weight class
Carley Anderson, ranked 20th in the 138lb weight class
Grace Doering, ranked 15th in the 180lb weight class
Cat McNulty, ranked 17th in the 180lb weight class
Riley Dempewolf, ranked 4th in the 207lb weight class
Tech will wrestle next this Saturday, February 22nd in the WHAC Invitational here in Fort Wayne, Indiana at the Doug Edgar Indoor Track Facility before next weekend's Mid-South Conference Tournament on February 28th in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
