KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Indiana Tech's
Rose Kaplan was selected as this week's NAIA Women's Wrestler of the Week, announced by the National Office on Wednesday.
Kaplan earns the National honor after a dominant 6-0 week. The West Lafayette native kicked off the week with a pair of dual wins. First, winning with a 10-4 decision over the No. 10-ranked wrestler in her weight class, followed by a pin in 2:43
On Sunday, she would also go 4-0 to win the 124lb weight class at the Blue Hose Challenge. The sophomore would open the event with back-to-back pins. Kaplan would then take down the No. 10-ranked wrestler for the second time in as many days in the semifinal match, before defeating the NCAA No. 4-ranked wrestler in the final with a 3-0 decision.
The women's wrestling team is back in action on Friday, November 21, as they host Siena Heights for a conference dual, beginning at 6:00 p.m.
