FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Indiana Tech's Elsie McCutchan was named this week's Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Women's Volleyball Defender of the Week, announced by the conference on Monday.

McCutchan takes her first Defender of the Week title after the Warriors' 1-1 week. In Tech's match with Defiance, McCutchan recorded 19 digs and six assists in her four sets played. Against UNOH on Friday, the Evansville, Indiana, native posted 20 digs in three sets, while also adding four assists. McCutchan's weekly totals were 39 digs (5.57/set), 10 assists, and 31 serve receptions in seven sets.

The Warriors now sit 8-6 on the season and 2-1 in conference play. Up next, the Warriors will travel to Grand Rapids, Michigan, for contests with Cornerstone University on Friday, Sept. 19, at 7:00 p.m. and Aquinas College on Saturday, Sept. 20, at 2:00 p.m.
