Jessica Steward enters her third year with the Indiana Tech Department of Athletics for the 2025-26 school year. She enters year one as the Associate Director for Compliance and Academic Success/Senior Woman Leader after two years as the Assistant Director of Athletics for Academic Success/Senior Woman Leader. She also is in year three as the assistant men's and women's golf coach for the 2025-26 season.
Jessica returned to Fort Wayne in 2023, where she began her coaching career at Purdue Fort Wayne in 2008. She had previously spent the last fifteen years as a Head Women’s Golf Coach at the NCAA Division I level, most recently at Georgia State University from 2019 – 2023, and at Lamar University from 2015-2019.
Jessica oversees the academic success, retention, and graduation for Indiana Tech's 900-plus student-athletes and 29 sports programs, working closely with the Office of Student Success and serving as a connection point between the Department of Athletics and various other campus departments. She oversees the completion of study table hours, connects student-athletes with academic resources, monitors overall academic performance, evaluates degree reports, and counsels student-athletes individually.
During her time as head coach, Jessica continuously led programs to record-setting seasons. During her last season of competition during the 2022-2023 school year, her team at Georgia State set the program’s 54-hole scoring record, twice. Ari Acuff broke the record for individual 54-hole tournament total at 8-under par. Her squad also earned the lowest season team stroke average in program history, and secured GSU’s first team tournament title in over 10 years. At Lamar University, she led her 2015 team to the Southland Conference Championship tournament title and was named Southland Conference Women’s Golf Coach of the Year.
Steward, a native of Mystic, CT, earned a bachelor’s degree in Sport Administration the University of Miami in 2008, where she was captain of the women’s golf team and ranked individually as high as 33rd in the nation, according to Golfstat. She completed a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Saint Francis in 2016 and holds an LPGA Class A teaching certification.
Jessica lives in Fort Wayne with her wife, Chelsea.
