Conner Gimson became the first two-time NAIA National Champion for the men's wrestling program at the 2022 NAIA National Championship in early March. The top-ranked wrestler at 133-lbs., finished the weekend with three falls, including one over fourth-ranked Carson Taylor (Grand View) in the semifinals before defeating sixth-ranked Jacob Seto (Embry-Riddle) 3-1 in the championship to become the program's first repeat national champion. He scored all three points in the second period thanks to an escape and a takedown.
