A freshman on the men’s lacrosse team, Childs suited up for three games on the ice in January, and he shined, registering seven points on six goals and an assist. In his debut against IPFW he netted two goals and then in his first game with the D1 team, just three days after his first practice, netted a pair of goals including the game-winner in a 6-4 victory over Western Michigan. He then added a pair of tallies and an assist in a 5-4 loss to Western Michigan.
