Dixon had an outstanding month for the Warriors as he was named the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Great Lakes Region Field Athlete of the Year after winning the long jump title at the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Indoor Championships on Feb. 20 with a program record leap of 7.62m/25-0, also the best-makr in the nation. That mark earned him Most Outstanding Performance of the Meet and WHAC Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, while he also placed 10th in the triple jump with a mark of 11.52m/37-9.5.
