FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech volleyball team hit a season-high .385 in a straight set victory over Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference foe, Marygrove at the Schaefer Center on Wednesday. The Warriors improve to 7-5 overall and 2-2 in WHAC play while the Mustangs fall to 3-8 and 1-4 in conference action.
The Warriors dominated the contest from the outset, with the closest set being the first, at 25-17. Tech hit .303 (188-33) in the set while limiting the Mustangs to a .179 (8-3-28) mark. In the second set, the Orange and Black used a .500 (17-2-30) attack percentage and solid defense, holding Marygrove to a .000 (6-6-29) mark, winning the set 25-10. The final set, a 25-14 win for Tech, was again lopsided in favor of the home team as the Warriors hit .364 (17-5-33) to just .069 (8-6-29) for the Mustangs.
Christine Foest continued her solid play in 2014, following her 40 kills in two matches last week with a 14 kill performance tonight, committing just five errors on 26 attempts to hit .346, second on the team.
Katelyn St. Martin led the team with a .478 attack percentage with 13 kills on 23 attempts and just two errors.

Stacy Nagy each tallied two blocks, with Nagy now three solo blocks shy of the Warriors career record. Libero
Taylor Kelso led the defense with 12 digs with St. Martin adding 11 of the 46 Tech tallied in the match.
Karli Jones ledthe team with 40 assists in the contest and fellow freshmen,
Jana-Lena Grotemeyer and
Lindsey Thomson made their debuts for the Warriors.
Tech continues conference play on Wednesday, Sept. 24 when they play host to Lawrence Tech with first serve scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Schaefer Center.
