RECORDS: Indiana Tech (29-26), #RV Madonna (37-13)
LOCATION: Adrian, Mich. (Siena Heights Baseball Stadium)

BRIEF: For the third time in four meetings, the Indiana Tech baseball team fell to the Madonna Crusaders on a walk-off hit, doing so on Monday in the first round of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference tournament. James McReynolds pitched a masterful contest, but ultimately suffered his third loss of the season.

FLOW:
McReynolds stranded a one-out base runner in both the first and second innings before stranding runners at first and third in the fourth, allowing the offense to break through against Evan Piechota in the fifth.

The Warriors got on the board first as Peyton Newsom doubled with two outs, scoring on a passed ball and wild pitch for the 1-0 lead.

In the sixth, Dezmon Nunn singled with one out, stole second and scored two batters later on Romer Portes' two-out single. Back-to-back base hits by Tighe Koehring and Matt Bandor plated another run for the 3-0 lead.

The Crusaders cut into the lead in the sixth, getting a two-out RBI with a pair of hits and a Tech error. Another hit and an error plated the second run for MU in the seventh, but a heads up double play by Zach Fyfe on a relay from the outfield, that nearly prevented the run, ended the frame.

After a scoreless eighth, the Crusaders got a leadoff single, a questionable hit-by-pitch and three consecutive singles for the 4-3 victory.
