DEARBORN, Mich. – The Indiana Tech volleyball team cruised to a three game sweep (25-21, 25-22, 25-15) over Michigan-Dearborn on Wednesday evening to open WHAC play. 
The Warriors were able to dominate the Wolverines at the net, collecting 17 blocks while getting 36 kills. Freshman middle blocker 
Gabby Staggs led the way with six blocks, while the junior duo of 
Jazmin Alexander and 
Cassie Sarabia each had eight kills apiece. 
The first two sets were back and forth affairs, with neither team able to get a lead larger than six. Tech would battle from behind for the early part of the second set before back-to-back kills from Alexander and Sarabia gave the Warriors the lead for good. Leading 22-19, the Wolverines would bring it to within two before the senior 
Katelyn St. Martin would stop the run with a kill and 
Emily Williams gave the Orange and Black a two set to none advantage with an ace. 
The third set saw the Warriors lead from start-to-finish as they got out to an 8-3 lead. The Wolverines would mount a comeback however, climbing back to 13-12, but a service error gave Tech the serve back and they would rally of five straight points to close the door on the Wolverines. 
Taylor Kelso recorded double-digit digs (15), while 
Karli Jones and 
Mara Zell each reached double-digits in assists, with 16 and 12, respectively. 
Indiana Tech (5-4, 1-0) continues WHAC play next Wednesday when they welcome Concordia University (Mich.) to the Schaefer Center for their first home match of the season. First serve is set for 7 p.m. and live stats will be available at IndianaTechWarriors.com.
