FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech ACHA Division 3 men's ice hockey team picked up its first sweep of the season with a 5-2 win over Adrian College – Black, on Friday evening at the SportONE/Parkview Icehouse.
One day after defeating the Bulldogs in overtime for their first win of the year,
Matt Walton would score the game-winner for the Orange and Black at 2:21 in the third period to put the hosts up 3-2 while
Chad Cobb and
Jordan Pitlick gave the Warriors a two-goal cushion in the closing minutes of the game.
Chris Boyd picked up the win in net for Tech as he made 26 saves.
Tech (2-2-0) returns to action next weekend with a home-and-home set against Michigan State. Game one will take place at Munn Ice Arena in East Lansing, Michigan.
