The two teams were locked into a back-and-forth contest from the opening serve, with the Warriors jumping out to a 14-11 lead and pushing it to 22-18. The Panthers though, would go on a 7-1 run to take the first set.
The second set played out just as the first, with the Orange and Black getting ahead 19-15, only to see the Panthers rattle off three straight points to cut the deficit to one. After trading the next three points, the visitors would use a 4-0 to make it a 23-21 game, but the hosts would then take the next four points to even things at one-all.
A 5-2 opening run for Tech would begin the third, but Davenport would rebound to take a 9-7 lead. The Warriors would hold tight though and rebound to retake the lead at 22-20, but the Panthers would grab the momentum as they won five of the next six points to take a 2-1 lead.
An early 2-0 lead for the Warriors in the fourth would give the home team hope to tie the match up, but the Panthers would rattle off five consecutive points to retake the lead and carry that momentum to the 25-19 set win and take the match, 3-1.
Tech concludes its season with a 25-10 record.
