OXFORD, Ohio – The Indiana Tech baseball team saw its 15-game winning streak snapped on Wednesday evening as they fell to NCAA Division I foe, Ohio University, 11-10, in 10 innings at McKie Field.

The Warriors jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first as
Ryan Meisenheimer knocked in
Matt Bandor with a fielder's choice RBI while
Taylor Nychyk drew a bases-loaded walk to score
Glen McClain. The two offenses found their grove in the middle innings as there was only one scoreless frame from the bottom of the fourth through the seventh inning, with both sides putting up crooked numbers in multiple innings.

McClain tripled to score Bandor before Meisenheimer drove him in with a single through the left side in the fifth to extend their lead to 4-1 while a three-run bomb from McClain made it a 7-1 game in the sixth. The RedHawks were able to get to the Warrior bullpen in the sixth and seventh though, scoring four times in the sixth and tacking on three more runs in the seventh to cut the deficit to 10-8.

Miami managed to tie the game in the bottom of the ninth and wiggled out of a bases-loaded jam in the top of the 10
th to give them the chance to avoid the upset. A Tech error led off the bottom of the frame while the winning run scored on a hit batter by
Tanner Perkins, who took the tough-luck loss after coming on to pitch in the ninth.

Seth Sorensen went four innings on the hill to start the game for the Orange and Black, allowing just one run one five hits. Bandor, McClain,
Tighe Koehring and
Dante Biagini all recorded three hits each, with McClain driving in a team-high four runs.

Tech (29-14) returns to action on Saturday as they travel to Madonna for a four-game set. First pitch is slated for 1 p.m. from Ilitch Ballpark at the Madonna Athletic Complex.
