OKLAHOMA CITY – Indiana Tech freshman AJ Fowler was named the Sooner Athletic Conference Men's Wrestler of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.
 
Fowler went 3-0 this past weekend at the Warrior Duals for the No. 17-ranked Warriors at 285-pounds. The Gary, Indiana native started off his day with a 5-0 win over No. 17-ranked Alec Moore-Nash of Lourdes University. After earning a forfeit against Thomas More University, the Calumet High School product finished off the afternoon with a pin of David Delph (Marian University) at 3:28 in the second period.
 
It is the first time in his career that he has won the weekly award.
