ZIONSVILLE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's tennis team fell to Indiana University East, 5-4, on Wednesday afternoon in a nonconference matchup inside the Pearson Automotive Tennis Center.
 
IU East took a 2-1 lead after doubles action with the Warriors picking up an 8-0 victory at second flight from the tandem of Vero Jimenez and Elena Tokic. Tokic notched her second straight double bagel at fourth singles while Martina Borges and Dominique Michelet picked up 6-3, 6-0 and 6-2, 6-0 wins at second and third flight, respectively. It would not be enough though as the Warriors fell by a single match despite only bringing four players.
 
Tech (2-6) returns to action on Saturday, March 2 when they open Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) play against University of Northwestern Ohio. First serve is set for 11 a.m. from Westwood Tennis & Fitness Center.
