FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's tennis team defeated NCAA Division III and regional rival Anderson University, 8-1, on Friday afternoon at the Swinney Tennis Center.
Tech rolled through doubles play by dropping just five points, with the second flight of
Martina Borges and
Elena Tokic posting an 8-0 win while the first flight of
Vero Jimenez and
Dominique Michelet winning 8-2.
Jimenez won 6-1, 6-0 at one singles while Tokic won 6-1, 6-1 at four singles. Borges and Michelet both dropped just three matches at second and third flight, respectively.
Tech (4-11) returns to action on Monday as they travel to Goshen College. First serve is set for 4:30 p.m. from the Goshen Tennis Complex.
