FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's basketball team used a 34-7 run in the second half to defeat Great Lakes Christian College, 78-63, Wednesday evening inside the Schaefer Center and extend their winning streak to four games.
Rog Stein led all players with 20 points and added four rebounds and three assists while
Josh Kline had 15 points and 10 rebounds for his first double-double of the season.
Grant Smith added 13 points, a season-best 14 rebounds and six assists while

The Warriors got off to a slow start as the Crusaders, members of the National Christian Collegiate Athletic Association (NCCAA), started off strong with a 10-4 run over the first five minutes of the game. Tech cut the deficit down to 13-12 with 12:04 left in the first half and forcing the visitors to call a timeout, but GLCC kept the lead with a 7-2 run. The Orange and Black continued to fight, getting to within a point at 23-22 with 4:54 left in the half, but were unable to get on top as the Crusaders took a 32-29 lead into the locker room. GLCC's Trent Temple led all players with 13 points in the half, but was kept out of the scoring column in the final 20 minutes of the game.
Tech came out aggressive to start the second half as they scored on their first two possessions to take a 33-32 lead. The two teams traded baskets over the next four minutes, with the Warriors leading 42-41 at the 15:45 mark. The Crusaders grabbed the momentum though, using a 15-2 run over the next five minutes to take a 56-44 lead. A basket from
Jeremy Luciani stopped the run and started a quick 6-0 spurt for the Warriors that was capped by a fast break dunk from Stein that led to a Crusader timeout. Tech continued to mount their comeback over the next few minutes, with Luciani finding Davison in the paint for an easy bucket and a 57-56 lead for the hosts with 7:08 to play. The confidence for the Orange and Black continued to grow over the last part of the half as they built their lead up to 17 points and ended the game on a 34-7 run, including a 4:38 scoring drought to kick start the run and give the Warriors all the momentum.
Tech (6-2) returns to action on Saturday as they travel to Indiana University East for a matchup of two teams receiving votes in the NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m. from Lingle Court.
