FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Men's tennis defeats Cornerstone in WHAC semifinals to advance to the finals on Saturday.
Juan Avellaneda and
Brunno Storani started the match strong winning at the number one doubles spot 6-1.
Agustin Cortes Flores and
Alvaro Gomez partnered up in the number two doubles position to win 6-0 while
Raybin Chan and
Kayra Kargin won at the number three 6-1. This gave the Warriors the advantage heading into the singles.
In singles,
Jafer Infante competed at the number six and won with two 6-0 set wins to be the first win the Warriors needed.
Agustin Cortes tallied the second win for Tech at the number five with a 6-2 and 6-0 set victories while
Kayra Kargin won the match for the Warriors at the number three where he won 6-4 and 6-0 for the Warriors to win 4-0 over Cornerstone.
The Warriors will compete on May 1
st in the WHAC finals at UNOH.
