GOSHEN, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's tennis team opened up the 2021-22 season in dominating style Wednesday afternoon with a 6-1 victory over Goshen College at the Goshen College Tennis Complex.
The Warriors swept through doubles action with the third flight of
Tyler Sinclair and
Raybin Chan posting the 6-0 shutout while the first flight of
Juan Avellaneda and Phil Labbe pulled out a 7-6 (3) win.
Jakub Federowicz kicked off singles play with a 6-0, 6-0 double bagel at fifth flight while Agustin Cortes notched a 6-2, 6-1 decision at the number four position. Labbe clinched the match at number three with a 7-5, 6-2 win while Chan closed out the match with a 6-1, 6-1 triumph at the sixth spot.
Tech (1-0) returns to action September 16 with the start of the Indiana Wesleyan Fall Classic. Opponents and start times have yet to be released.
