MARION & HUNTINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's tennis team concluded a busy weekend at the IWU Fall Classic with a pair of wins over Olivet Nazarene University, 4-1, and Huntington University, 4-2, Saturday at the Sutter Tennis Center and Klopfenstein Tennis Courts, respectively.
 
The Warriors got off to a quick start against the Tigers with a 6-0 decision from Juan Avellaneda and Michel Zobel at first flight and a 6-3 win by Alvaro Gomez and Agustin Cortes at second flight to pick up the doubles point. Zobel started off singles play with a 6-1, 6-3 victory at number six while Anastasis Lavdas won handily at number five, 6-1, 6-1. Cortes closed out the win over Tech with a 6-4, 6-0 decision at number four.
 
Tech then made the trip from Indiana Wesleyan to Huntington for their final match of the weekend against a tough Foresters squad. The Orange and Black took the doubles point thanks to wins from Avellandea/Zobel and Gomez/Cortes at first and second flight, 6-4 and 6-1, respectively. Huntington took home the wins at number one and two in singles play, but the Warriors earned victories at number three, four and six to complete the undefeated weekend. Cortes picked up a 6-3, 7-6 win at the third spot, Jakub Federowicz won 6-1, 7-5 at number four while Zobel had a 6-1, 6-0 victory at number six.
 
Tech (4-0) returns to action September 29 with the start of the ITA Midwest Regional Championships hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University.
