FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Indiana Tech has updated its mask policy in response to the rapid community spread of the omicron coronavirus variant, Indiana Tech is updating its mask policy and COVID-19 procedures,
effective tomorrow, Thursday, January 13 until Monday, February 7. On February 7 a determination will be made about whether to continue these policies based on the spread of COVID-19 at that time.
Masks are now required in all indoor settings at Indiana Tech facilities. This includes classrooms, shared office spaces, and other shared gathering spaces and event venues. The
only exceptions to mask wearing are when you are:
- Actively eating or drinking
- Actively engaged in teaching, at a minimum distance of 6 feet from class participants
- In a private dorm room space
- Alone in a private office space
- Engaged in athletic competition
