MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The No. 16 ranked Indiana Tech men's basketball team is in Florida for a two-game stretch starting in Miami Gardens as they took on Florida Memorial University Saturday afternoon. The Warriors came out on top, winning 86-73 over the Lions to improve their record to 11-2.
Tech started the game hot going on a 14-2 run to jump to an early lead over the Lions, kicked off by a
Rog Stein layup. Tech took an 18-point lead into the locker room for halftime and never trailed in the game.
Tech shot 50% from the floor, hitting 5 threes while shooting 73.9% from the charity stripe.
Rog Stein led the Warriors in scoring with 21 points while grabbing 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
Blake Davison was 7-13 shooting with 16 points, a team-high 9 rebounds, and 4 assists.
Josh Kline had a stat line of 14 points, 6 boards, and 3 blocks.
Max Perez was a spark off the bench leading Tech in assists with 5.
Tech finishes 2022 with two road games. The first being played Sunday, December 18, at Keiser University in West Palm Beach, Florida. They then head back north to take on the Indiana Wesleyan Wildcats in Marion, Indiana, on December 30.
