GEORGETOWN, Ky. & KOKOMO, Ind. – The Indiana Tech baseball team went 2-2 over the weekend, defeating Midway University 5-2 Sunday afternoon before falling to Georgetown College 6-5 at Robert N. Wilson Field. On Monday the Warriors took the first game of a twin-bill against No. 15-ranked Indiana Wesleyan University 4-3 before falling in the nightcap 6-3 at Championship Park.

The Warriors got out to a fast start against the Eagles with four runs in the first inning.
Trevor Patterson started things off with a single before eventually scoring on a double steal while
Mike Snyder drove in
Manuel Ascanio to make it a 2-0 game.
Jacob Daftari made it a 4-0 ballgame three batters later with a single to left. Snyder would make it a 5-1 ballgame in the third on a steal of home after starting the inning reaching on an error.
Dalton Swinehart went four innings on the hill to pick up the win, allowing two runs on four hits while striking out three.
Phillip Hobbs pitched the final three innings to pick up the save.

The Tigers struck first with four straight singles in the bottom of the second to go up 2-0 before tacking on another run in the fifth. The Warrior bats came alive in the seventh as they scored five runs on four hits and took advantage of two Georgetown errors, including one with two outs that allowed three runners to score and put Tech up 5-3.
The Tigers responded with a leadoff walk and a double to cut the deficit to 5-4 right away in the bottom of the seventh though and tied the game up two batters later on an RBI groundout. The hosts cashed in on an RBI single with one out to complete the comeback and secure the victory.

The Wildcats took the early lead with a lead off home run, but
Micah O'Donnell knotted things up in the third with an RBI single. Indiana Wesleyan responded with a two run homer in the bottom of the third, but a sacrifice fly by
Jacob Daftari cut the deficit to 3-2 one inning later. Daftari would be the hero in the sixth with a two-run blast to make it a 4-3 game while
Spencer Strobel pitched the final 1.2 innings to preserve the win and pick up the save with a pair of strikeouts.
Hayes Sturtsman went 5.1 innings on the bump with seven strikeouts to pick up the win.
IWU used five hits to score four runs in the bottom of the third inning of game two to take a commanding lead before tacking on two more runs in the fourth thanks to a home run by Dillon Pugh. The Warriors cut the deficit in half in the fifth with a two-run home by
Luis Diaz and an RBI double from
Tristan Osika, but the team went down quietly in the seventh to split the doubleheader.
Tech (3-4) returns to action on Sunday as they travel to Bloomington, Indiana to take on Indiana University Kokomo in a doubleheader at Bloomington South High School, alma matter to head coach
