SYLVANIA, Ohio - The Indiana Tech Softball team defeated Siena Heights and lost to Aquinas and
UNOH at the 2022
WHAC Softball Tournament, ending their season with a record of 24-24, the program's best record since the 2011 season.

The Warrior bats just couldn't get going in game one. They did manage five hits, but they just couldn't cross the plate.
Hannah Middlebrooks pitched a complete game, striking out three Saint batters.

Game 2 | #4 Indiana Tech 8, #8 Siena Heights 4
Indiana Tech was ready for the second contest, and their bats showed it. The Orange and Black struck first, as
Olyvia Notter singled to left field, bringing home
Maire Trouba for the first run of the game. The Saints would score three runs in the second inning, but the Warriors had seven things to say about that. In the third inning, it was
Emma Kelley who would single through the left side, with Trouba scoring again. Notter would ground out, bringing home
Bella Brock, and then it was
Micaela Iacovetti sending a shot to left field for a two-RBI homer to put Tech n top 5-3. Brock kept the foot on the pedal as she singled up the middle, scoring
Meagan Barton in the fourth inning. In the sixth inning, it was Brock yet again, singling through the right side and bringing home Barton once more. Brock would later score herself on an error, making it 8-3 in favor of the Warriors. Siena Heights had once last chance in the seventh inning, but could only muster up one run.
Jaden Romero pitched a complete game, striking out one member of Siena Heights.
Game 3 |#4 Indiana Tech 2, #3 UNOH 3
It was win or go home on Thursday for both the Warriors and the Racers, with UNOH striking first, scoring two runs in the first inning. Tech would score once in the third as
Kendall Hornung would single to left center, scoring
Carly Basham. Tech would tie the game in the fourth as
Alyssa Fox singled through the right side, scoring
Amanda Parker. Unfortunately, it was UNOH who would walk it off in the seventh, sending the Warriors home and advancing to play Aquinas.
Ashley Alvey got the start, pitching three innings of work, striking out one Racer batter.
Hannah Middlebrooks relieved her, pitching 3.2 innings and striking out four UNOH batters.
The Warriors end their season with a 24-24 record, defeating a number of ranked teams and several strong opponents, they'll look to build on their success as they return several quality young players and will bring in a very solid recruiting class.Â
