JACKSON, Mich. – The Indiana Tech men's and women's bowling teams traveled to Jackson, Michigan, over the weekend to compete in the first WHAC Jamboree of the season, where the men's teams took seventh (5691), and the women's team finished second (5718).
Leah Brazier finished fifth overall for the Warriors with 587 (178, 217, 192) as her total through three games.
Jordan Downham and Meagan Kenney also finished in the top ten, coming in back-to-back in eighth and ninth place, respectively. Downham knocked down 567 (215, 205, 147) pins in her three games while Kenney posted a 564 (188, 161, 215).
Kayla Cameron finished next for the Orange and Black with a 22
nd overall finish and a score of 534 (200, 176, 158). Rounding out the scores for the Warriors was
Jillian Treska, with a 25th-place finish while posting a score of 531 (190, 155, 186).
In his Tech debut,
Tuna Boncu led the Warriors with an eight-place finish, in which he posted a score of 622 (190, 221, 211) through three games.
Brandon Haney finished next for Tech with a twelfth-place finish overall, knocking down 600 (179, 266, 155) pins.
Alex Horton rounded out the Warriors who bowled all three games and finished 42
nd with a total of 537 (175, 215, 147). Brent Shoryer and
Cameron Kilgore bowled two games each, scoring 324 and 386, respectively.
Dylan Bulusan and
Parker Laubach added one game apiece with scores of 189 and 162.
The men's and women's teams are back in action on Saturday and Sunday, October 5-6, at the Midwest Championship in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
