FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Fall sports are in mid-season form, winter sports are heating up, and it's time for another update as six Warrior teams are now ranked or receiving votes nationally.
Men's and women's bowling are both ranked in the top 15 of the latest NAIA RPI dating back to the end of last season. The men are at No. 9 with a 0.603 RPI, sitting ahead of Saint Xavier (Ill.) (0.601) and behind Tennessee Wesleyan (0.606). SCAD-Savannah (Ga.) is at No. 1 with a 0.664 RPI. The women are at No. 15 with a 0.575 RPI, sitting ahead of Ottawa (Kan.) (0.566) and behind Lawrence Tech (Mich.) (0.576). Mount Mercy (Iowa) is at No. 1 with a 0.674 RPI. Tech will compete at the Midwest Championship on October 4
th and 5
th in Sterling Heights, Michigan.
Women's hockey is ranked No. 9 in the latest ACHA rankings dating back to last season, while men's hockey sits at No. 17 in the ACHA Coaches Top 25 Preseason Rankings. The women sit behind No. 8 Niagara (N.Y.) and ahead of No. 10 Arizona State. The men received 176 points and come in 17 points behind No. 16 Oswego State (N.Y.) and 24 points ahead of No. 18 Midland (Neb.). The women will play Grand Valley State (Mich.) in their next series on October 3
rd and 4
th, while the men will start their season against Davenport (Mich.).
The Indiana Tech men's soccer team moved down five spots to No. 17 in the third NAIA Men's Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Poll of the season. The Warriors received 191 points, sitting 35 points behind No. 16 Life (Ga.) and 4 points ahead of No. 18 Madonna (Mich.). Dalton State (Ga.) holds at No. 1 in the poll with 498 points, followed by Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) with 488 points and Oklahoma Wesleyan with 462 points. The Warriors will play at Siena Heights (Mich.) on Saturday, October 4
th in Adrian, Michigan.
The Indiana Tech men's cross country team is receiving votes in the second edition of the NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Ratings. In the men's ratings, Tech received eight points, sitting alongside Mid-America Christian (Okla.) (10) and Mount Mercy (Iowa) (6). The Master's (Calif.) is No. 1 in the poll with 464 points. The Warriors will travel to Cedar Rapids, Iowa to compete in the Seminole Valley Stampede hosted by Mount Mercy on Saturday, October 4
th.
