ADRIAN, Mich. – The Indiana Tech Men's Cross Country team made another trip up to Michigan for the WHAC Championships on Friday afternoon, where three Warriors would finish in all-conference positions as Tech finished in fourth place.
Juan Caballero led the Warriors in the 8k race with a time of 25:23 to finish seventh and earn himself a spot on the WHAC First Team All-Conference. He would be closely followed by
Ayub Sayid (25:34) and
Giulio Romano (25:37) who finished in tenth and eleventh respectively, making the WHAC Second Team All-Conference.
Kobee Beck would just miss out on an all-conference spot, finishing in 15
th with a time of 25:45.
Andreas Tonning rounded out the top five for Tech with a time of 26:10. Overall, the men would put up the third best team time in school history at the meet to finish in fourth place.
In addition to the all-conference teams, the WHAC would also announce the rest of the conference awards at the end of the meet.
Christopher Putman would represent Indiana Tech on the Champion of Character Team, which is comprised of one player from each school who best represents the five core character values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership. Indiana Tech also had four Warriors named to the All-Academic Team, which consists of sophomores or above in academic standing with a cumulative 3.25 GPA or better who have attended their school for one full year.
