OTTAWA LAKE, Mich. - The Indiana Tech Women's Golf campaign began Wednesday at the Legacy Club in Ottawa Lake, Michigan, where the Warriors would partake in the Lourdes Fall Invitational.
Graduate Student
Andrea Aizpurua picked up right where she left off last season, shooting 78, tying for 1
st place overall.
Elin Gebrowsky managed 89 in her season debut, while
Mackensy Mabie scored 94. The Warriors' scoring was rounded out by sophomore
Gia DeProsperis. At the conclusion of play, a three-way playoff for the Individual Championship ensued. Players returned to the par-4 10
th hole at Legacy, a short par four, that bends to the left around a large lake. After all players found the green in regulation, a tough pin location reigned supreme. Two of the three players in the playoff would three-putt, one of whom was Aizpurua. The Individual Championship was claimed by Cleary University's Lauryn Jerke. Albion secured the team championship, shooting a team score of 333.
The Tech Women will be back in action next Friday at Cleary University.
