Reggie Tharp Named Inaugural Indiana Tech Women’s Flag Football Head Coach

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Reggie Tharp has been named the inaugural Indiana Tech women's flag football head coach, Director of Athletics Jessie Biggs announced on Monday.

"We're excited to welcome Coach Tharp to our team at Indiana Tech!" Jessie Biggs said. "His leadership and success in the local girls' flag football scene will be a beneficial part to launching our program into success immediately."

"I'm extremely blessed and grateful for the opportunity," Reggie Tharp said. "I would like to thank Jessie Biggs and Vice President Dan Stoker for giving me the opportunity of being the Indiana Tech women's flag football head coach."

Tharp comes to Indiana Tech from Snider High School in Fort Wayne, where he is the head coach of both the women's basketball and women's flag football teams.

Tharp helped establish the women's flag football program at Snider, managing all aspects of the creation of the team. He designed the playbook, coordinated logistics for game schedules and managed official compliance with district and state athletics association rules. He's achieved ample success, which includes multiple conference championships and an appearance in the Indiana State Final Four.

Tharp is an alumnus of Indiana Tech, earning a degree in business administration. He is also a graduate of Concordia High School.

The inaugural flag football season will be in the spring of 2028.
