DEARBORN, MICH. – Indiana Tech came up just short Sunday afternoon in the WHAC Tournament Championship, falling 4–3 in a hard-fought battle in Dearborn, Michigan.
After giving up the opening goal, Indiana Tech answered in the first period when Michael Dalaly found the back of the net on the power play, assisted by Ryan Doucette, to even the score at 1–1.
Trailing 3–1 entering the third, Indiana Tech showed resilience. Joey Mocnik sparked the comeback at 2:43 with a goal assisted by Luke Anderson and Ethan Dominy. Just 18 seconds later, Ethan Dominy finished a play set up by Luke Anderson and Aidan Dufort to tie the game 3–3 and shift the momentum.
Despite the late surge, the Warriors were unable to find the equalizer after Lawrence Tech regained the lead midway through the third.
Indiana Tech went a perfect 1-for-1 on the power play and continued to battle until the final horn in a physical, fast-paced contest.
