GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Indiana Tech dance team returned to Grand Rapids, Michigan on Friday for the WHAC Championships hosted by Aquinas College.
The Warriors would start the day with prelims where they would register a score of 77.63, which accounts for 25% of their final score. In the finals, Tech would score a 78.46, resulting in a grand total of 78.28 for their final score. This would put the Warriors in sixth place overall, while Aquinas was crowned WHAC Champions with a final score of 92.37, which was a new WHAC record. Siena Heights finished in second, while Marian finished third.
The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference would also release the conference awards after the event with two Warriors receiving honors.
Rachel Thamer was named to the WHAC First Team All-Conference, becoming the first member of the dance program to make an all-conference team in program history, while
Hannah Britten was named to the Champions of Character Team and made the All-Academic Team!
The Champions of Character Team is comprised of one player from each school who best represents the five core character values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership. The All-Academic Team consists of sophomores or above in academic standing with a cumulative 3.25 GPA or better who have attended their school for one full year.

With the conclusion of the WHAC Championships, the Warriors 2026 season comes to an end. It was a year of improvement for the Tech Dance team as they made major strides from last year's inaugural season. They will look to continue to build on this season's successes heading into next year.
