FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Indiana Tech Rugby hosted the Big Rivers Rugby Conference 7s Championship this weekend, marking the program's first appearance in the conference tournament. The Warriors put together a competitive showing across the day, ultimately finishing fourth and securing a bid to the Collegiate Rugby Championships later this month.
 
Indiana Tech opened pool play with strong intent but fell to Aquinas College, 28–14. Aveairre White and Noah Allen each crossed for tries, while Dakota Faulkner added two conversions in the loss.
 
The Warriors responded in their second match with a 21–19 come-from-behind victory over Drury. Trailing in the second half, Indiana Tech rallied behind tries from Crew Kaylor and Dakota Faulkner before Andrew Evans sealed the win with a quick tap try. Faulkner converted all three scores to complete the comeback effort.
 
In the final pool match, Indiana Tech battled Thomas More University to a 19–19 draw. Tries came from Noah Allen, Dakota Faulkner, and Aveairre White, with Faulkner adding two conversions.
 
Advancing to the semifinal round, the Warriors faced defending conference champion Marian University. Indiana Tech came up short in a 34–12 loss, with tries from Dakota Faulkner and Drew Stauffer, and an additional conversion from Faulkner.
 
In the third-place match, the Warriors met Aquinas once again, falling 35–14. Luca Hubley and Aveirre White each scored tries, while Faulkner added two conversions.
 
Indiana Tech concludes the tournament with a fourth-place finish in its first Big Rivers Sevens Championship appearance. The result also secures qualification for the Collegiate Rugby Championships, set to take place April 24–25 in Boyds, Maryland. The national tournament will mark the first appearance on that stage for the Warriors program.
