FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released their 2026 National Awards Day recipients on Tuesday with 20 Warrior teams earning recognition. These awards recognize student-athletes, administrators, coaches, and team's achievements in competition and academics. To receive a Scholar Team award, the team must achieve a grade point average of a minimum 3.0 for both fall and spring semesters. Women's basketball led the Indiana Tech teams with a 3.74 GPA, followed by women's cross country (3.69) and women's volleyball (3.58). To earn the Scholar-Athlete award, the student must be a sophomore or older and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. Students must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at the Institution. The awards are given annually to outstanding student-athletes in the various sports in which the program is active, and their respective teams are eligible for NAIA postseason competition. Indiana Tech had 151 Student-Athletes earn the Scholar-Athlete award across 21 different programs!
