Keith Tatum

Tatum enters his first season as an assistant baseball coach in the 2020-21 school year. 

Before Attending Indiana Tech, Keith attended Taft Community College where he was awarded 1st Team All-Conference Designated Hitter in his sophomore season. Keith went on to attend Indiana Tech where he received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology. During his 2-year stint with the Warriors, Keith posted a 376/453/594 stat line (average/OBP/Slugging), hitting a total of 9 homeruns and 40 doubles. Keith also collected a total of 88 RBI’s. Keith was awarded the 1st –Team All-WHAC Catcher during his senior season and was also named as a Co-SIDA All-American Catcher his senior year for his outstanding performance both on and off the field.

Since finishing his collegiate career, Keith immediately took to coaching. Tatum landed a spot at Savannah State University in Savannah, Georgia where he was a volunteer assistant coach. Tatum primarily worked with catchers, but did aid with hitting as well. After 1 year at Savannah State, Tatum was offered a job as head assistant at Savannah Christian Preparatory School where he helped coach several athletes onto the collegiate level during a shortened 2020 season. During his time in Savannah, Keith also worked for several different training and baseball-development facilities, working primarily with youth ranging from 9 to 17 years old. Keith and his wife, Sara moved back to Fort Wayne, Indiana after accepting a new role as catching coordinator and assistant hitting coach at Indiana Tech. Keith is extremely excited to be reunited with the Warrior family.
