Jessie Rushing has joined the Indiana Tech women's ice hockey team as an assistant coach for the 2021-22 season, head coach Scott Hicks announced July 21.
 
Rushing joins the Warriors, who will start their inaugural season on the ice in the fall, after spending the 2019-20 season as an assistant coach with the ACHA program at Towson University. Prior to her time at Towson, she played in the Adrian College ACHA program, where she 28 goals and 32 assists in 97 games from 2013-18 and earning team MVP honors following the 2015-16 season. Rushing helped the Bulldogs win 109 games over her five seasons and finished her career in the ACHA National Tournament Championship game, falling to Hicks' Liberty University team, 2-1. The native of Hernando, Mississippi also played for Hicks on the 2017 USA Women's Hockey World University team, where she was a captain and won a bronze medal.
 
"I'm excited to be a part of the incredible program and culture that we're building here," Rushing said. "I'm really looking forward to getting these young women on the ice and seeing our team grow throughout the season."
 
Rushing received both her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from Adrian in 2016 and 2018, respectively, and studied Sports Administration and Leadership.
