Chloe Smithley enters her first year as the assistant coach and operations manager of the women’s soccer programs heading into the 2025 season.
Previously, Smithley spent two years as the head coach of the Men’s and Women’s Tennis programs (2023-25), after spending the prior four years as a player and graduate assistant with the tennis program from 2019-20 to 2022-23.
In her second year coaching tennis (2024-25), Smithley would lead the women’s team to a 5-8 overall record and a 3-3 record in WHAC play, finishing in third during the regular season. The men’s team would finish 5-10 overall and 3-2 in conference, finishing in third. At the WHAC Tournament, both the women and men would fall in the semifinal round to Lawrence Tech University. The women's side saw four All-WHAC team selections (two singles, two doubles), seven WHAC All-Academic Team members, and five NAIA Scholar-Athletes, while the men's side had six WHAC All-Academic Team members, and five NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
In her first year coaching tennis (2023-24), Smithley would lead the women’s team to a 6-9 overall record and a 4-2 record in WHAC play, finishing in third during the regular season. The men’s team would finish 9-9 overall and 3-3 in conference, finishing in fourth. At the WHAC Tournament, the women would fall in the semifinal round to Cornerstone University, while the guys would also fall in the semifinals to the University of Northwestern Ohio. The women's side saw three All-WHAC team selections (one singles, two doubles), five WHAC All-Academic Team members, and three NAIA Scholar-Athletes, while the men's side had two All-WHAC team selections (doubles), seven WHAC All-Academic Team members, and six NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
