Zachary Brown enters his fifth year as an assistant coach with the women’s wrestling team heading into the 2024-25 season, after starting with the program during their inaugural season in 2020-21, as announced by head coach Paul Redmacher.
Brown comes to Indiana Tech with multiple years of coaching experience. Most recently he was a volunteer assistant wrestling coach at Washington & Jefferson College in Washington, Pa. During his time there, he coached one Regional Champion and two NCAA Division III National Qualifiers along with the 2020 PAC Team Champions and five Individual Champions. Brown was also a part of recruiting, the organization and management of tournaments and provided instruction for the team’s strength and conditioning programs.
Prior to Washington & Jefferson, Brown was a graduate teaching assistant wrestling coach at West Liberty University. In his time there he recruited 40 student-athletes, coached three National Qualifies, one NCAA All-American, two Midwest Conference Finalists and one Midwest Conference Champion. He taught student-athletes and helped with the instruction of the strength and conditioning sessions.
Brown has a Master’s in Sports Leadership and Coaching along with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology and a Bachelor of Arts in Health and Physical Education all from West Liberty University.
Brown is a New Cumberland, West Virginia native.
