Box Score 2 BOURBONNAIS, ILL. – The Indiana Tech volleyball team went 0-2 on the final day of competition at the Holiday Inn Invitational hosted by Olivet Nazarene University on Saturday. The Warriors finish the invite 1-3, falling to St. Francis (Ill.) and Trinity Christian College today.

The Warriors (4-14) lost their first contest of the day in three, 3-0 (14-25, 24-26, 25-27), including heartbreaking losses in the final two sets. The Fighting Saints moved to 9-5 with the win.
Tech hurt themselves in the first set, hitting -.034 with just five kills on 29 chances, while committing six attack errors. They bounced back to hit .200 in game two, tallying 13 kills, however, they couldn't put USF away and then hit just .025 in the final, decisive game.
Christine Foest led the team with eight kills while hitting .316 with 1.5 blocks and
Shanice Richards led the team in hitting percentage at .455 while tallying six kills and four block assists.
Katelyn St. Martin added six kills, tallied two aces and had 11 digs.
Alexandra Roberts was the assists leader with 13 while
Kelsey Fitzpatrick added 10.
Taylor Kelso performed well in the back row, collecting 20 digs and committing just one reception error.

The Orange and Black saw a similar fate against Trinity Christian in their final match of the invitational, losing in three sets, 3-0 (15-25, 24-26, 24-26), once again suffer close losses in the final two sets. The Trolls move to 14-4 on the season.
The Warriors were marginally better at the net against the Trolls, but still struggled with unforced errors. In set one, Tech tallied 10 kills, but hit .071 with eight errors on 28 attempts. They had their best set in game number two hitting .333 with 13 kills and just three errors, but it wasn't enough to take down the Trolls. The Orange and Black tallied a match-high 14 kills in the third game, however, they committed 10 errors and hit just .093.
Foest once again was a force at the net, as she was second on the team with eight kills but hit a team-high .400.
Stacy Nagy added 10 kills and had three block assists while
Suzanne Taylor added six kills.
Fitzpatrick had a team-high 19 assists in the match while Roberts added 11.
Kelso once again had a match high 10 digs with St. Martin adding nine and
Cassandra Sarabia tallying eight.
For her efforts, Kelso was named to the All-Tournament team, the Warriors lone representative.
The Warriors look to get back on track on Wednesday, Sept. 25, when they travel to Sylvania, Ohio to face WHAC opponent Lourdes.
