FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's soccer team won back-to-back games for the first time since September by rallying with a come from behind win against Rochester College (4-11-2) 3-1 Sunday afternoon at the Warrior Athletic Field.
Tech (7-7, 1-5 WHAC) fell behind 1-0 on Rochester College's first shot in the opening minute of play, but about 13 minutes later was able to tie the contest at 1 apiece before the intermission.
The Orange and Black then got the only two goals of the second half to secure the win.
Tori Singstock got the game winner in the 48th minute unassisted. It was her team-leading 13th tally of the year.
Megan Perry's third goal of the year tied the contest at 1-1 during the 13th minute, and
Abby Glaysher's header off the crossbar put Tech up 3-1 in the 67th minute to round out the scoring.
It was Glaysher's second goal in as many games with an assist from
Jamie Hawkey.
The Orange and Black outshot the visiting Warriors 15-7 in the contest with a 9-6 advantage in the second half. Tech put seven shots on goal to just four for Rochester while also holding a 4-3 margin in corner kicks.
Senior goalkeeper Bri Wojnarowski registered three saves in 90 minutes while Singstock led the offense with eight shots with four on goal.
The Warriors return to WHAC action Wednesday, Oct. 22 when they travel to Madonna University for a 4 p.m. start.
