@INTechWSoccer has Streak Snapped by Crusaders

DETROIT, Mich. – The Indiana Tech women's soccer team saw its two-game win streak snapped on Wednesday night in a 2-1 double-overtime loss to Madonna. It's the second double-overtime Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference loss for the Warriors, having lost to No. 14 Davenport, 2-1, on Oct. 11.

The Warriors (8-8, 1-6 WHAC) got off to a fast start as freshman Abby Glaysher netted her second career goal in the fourth minute to give Tech the 1-0 lead. Nicole Price sent a cross into the box to the far post where Glaysher finished the play with a header for the lead.

It was a short-lived lead as the home team answered with a marker of its own just 35 seconds later. The defense took over for the next 45 minutes as no shots were recorded in the second half. Tech tallied the only two shots in the first overtime, but couldn't find the back of the net, with the Crusaders scoring the game-winner 41 seconds into the final overtime.

The Orange and Black outshot Madonna 17-7 in the game and put seven shots on frame to just four for the Crusaders. The home team registered six saves in the contest while Tech tallied two.

Tori Singstock led the Warriors attack with six shots while Glaysher tallied four.

Tech returns to the pitch for its penultimate regular-season contest against Concordia on Saturday, Oct. 25 with kickoff scheduled for 3 p.m. at Warriors Athletic Field.
