TEAM | INDIVIDUAL | MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Indiana Tech women's golf team placed four players in the top-20 to run away with their third tournament win of the season at the Stritch Wolfpack Invitational at Brown Deer Park on Sunday.
The Warriors carded a final round 333 led by
Wiebke Schlender's second straight sub-80 round. Schledner carded a final round 79 to finish with a 36-hole total of 154 (75-79), placing second just one stroke behind University of Wisconsin's Aya Johnson (75-78=153). Fellow sophomore
Courtney Dye continued to play well, carding an 82 to finish sixth with a two-day total of 159 (77-82).
The freshmen duo of
Breanna Post and
Bailey Bostler both joined Dye and Schlender in the top-20 with Post finishing 12th with a 168 (82-86) and Bostler tying for 19th with a 173 (87-86).
Rachel George also competed for the Warriors and finished with a 191 (97-94).
Tech won the event with a 36-hole score of 654 (321-333), seven shots better than William Penn who finished with a 661 (333-328). Fellow Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference foes Madonna (338-333=671) and Lawrence Tech (349-345=694) finished third and fourth, respectively with Viterbo (354-349=703) rounding out the top five.
The Warriors conclude the WHAC regular-season when they return to the links on Saturday, Oct. 11 for WHAC Jamboree No. 5 at Lenawee Country Club in Adrian, Mich. with tee time set for 12 p.m.
