Box Score FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Led by a pair of identical double-doubles from Chelsea Carradine and Sabine Filippovica, the Indiana Tech women's basketball team took down Marygrove, 76-57 at the Schaefer Center on Thursday night.

The Warriors (14-11, 11-6) got off to a slow start as the Mustangs (2-22, 0-17) scored four of the first five points and six of the first 10 points before a Carradine layup tied the game at six. A Kylie Camp three-pointer gave Tech its first lead of the game, 9-6, a lead they didn't relinquish. Marygrove got to within one point on a jumper, but the Warriors outscored the Mustangs 30-17 the rest of the half to take a 13-point, 39-26 lead into the break.

Tech won inside, outscoring Marygrove 18-12 in the paint while dominating in points-off-turnovers and second-chance points 16-2 and 13-7, respectively. Tech forced 11 turnovers in the period and held a 20-19 edge in rebounds.

The Orange and Black dominated the second half, leading by as many as 20 points and never less than 13 in the period. After trading several baskets and leading by 14, the Warriors used a 6-0 run to extend the lead to 20, 61-41 with 7:52 to play. A 9-2 run by the Mustangs cut the lead to 13, but the Warriors quickly answered, stretching the lead back to 19, the final margin, 76-57.

The Warriors finished the contest 28-for-64 (43.8%) from the field despite a 4-for-20 (20%) mark from three. They also converted just 16-of-32 (50%) free throws. The defense was solid, limiting the Mustangs to 32.8 percent (22-for-67) shooting including a 3-for-17 (17.6%) mark from behind the arc.

Carradine and Filippovica each finished with 10 points and 11 rebounds, while Ulyssia Richmond had a team-high 19 points and Rachael Kruse added 16.

Adrienne Weaver paced Marygrove with 21 points while Breomi Jackson finished with 17 rebounds.

The Warriors return to action on Saturday, Feb. 8 when they travel to Lima, Ohio to take on the Racers of Northwestern Ohio. Tip is scheduled for 1 p.m.
