Box Score FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's tennis team won its second consecutive match on Thursday, defeating Bethel 9-0 at the Wildwood Racquet Club.
The match was originally scheduled to be played outdoors at Swinney Park, however, heavy rains forced the teams to move the match indoors. Tech took full advantage of the venue change, sweeping doubles action, dropping just three games, all at No. 1 doubles.
In singles action,
Nicholas Tripanon defeated Nick Kindig in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0 to win No. 5 singles and both
Kino de Leon (No. 3 singles) and
Mikel Oscoz (No. 2 singles) won their matches, dropping just a single game.
The Warriors improved to 7-6 on the season while the Pilots fall to 2-14 in 2014.
Tech hopes to play outdoors on Saturday, Apr. 5 when they are set to host Cornerstone for a conference contest at 10 a.m. at Swinney Park.
