Box Score INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's tennis team pushed its winning streak to four with a 6-3 victory over Marian at the MU Tennis Courts on Wednesday.
The Warriors got off to a good start, sweeping doubles play with a pair of 8-6 wins and a single 8-5 victory.
Joaquin Ferrando and
Kino de Leon teamed up to win at No. 1 doubles and the duo of
Mikel Oscoz and
Sriram Aranganathan took the win at No. 2, both winning 8-6. The final victory came from
Fernando Sousa and
Vinicius Silva at No. 3.
Singles action didn't get started well for Tech as NAIA No. 30, Ferrando, dropped his match at No. 1 in three sets, 7-5, 3-6, 10-7. Aranganathan was able to win his match in three sets, 3-6, 6-3, 10-5 and Oscoz and de Leon followed with identical 6-3, 6-2 wins to seal the 6-3 match win.
Tech improved to 9-6 on the season and will host Grace at 5:30 p.m. at Swinney Park on Wednesday, Apr. 9.
