FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Division 1 men's ice hockey team defeated Eastern Michigan, 5-2, on Saturday evening in Great Lakes Collegiate Hockey League (GLCHL) play at the SportONE/Parkview Icehouse for the program's first-ever series sweep.
 
The Warriors got the scoring started early when Adam Jonak notched his second goal in as many days at the 3:11 mark in the first period to give the hosts the early 1-0 lead.
 
The Eagles would tie it up with a goal from Ryan Faucheux at the 17:38 mark, but Tech would strike back in the second with three goals.
 
Ryan Theisen would put the hosts back on top at the 1:33 mark in the second and Zack Morlock would put the Orange and Black up 3-1 at the 16:54 mark with a power play goal. Ryan Attwood capped the period with a goal at 18:19.
 
Quentin Holmes added an insurance goal in the third period for his second goal of the series while also adding an assist. Attwood added two assists and lead the Warriors with three points.
 
Zach Larson made 17 saves while facing 19 shots to pick up his second straight win. Tech's penalty kill went six-for-six on the night while the Warriors offense fired off 69 shots in all.
 
Indiana Tech (3-2-0, 2-1-0) starts a seven-game road trip on Oct. 16 when they travel to GLCHL foe and 22^nd ranked Oakland. Puck drop is set for 8:20 p.m. from Onyx Ice Arena in Rochester, Michigan.
